दर्शयस्व नरव्यापत्र शाधि मामसुखान्विताम्‌ | कृपणां चाथ करुणं विलपन्‍न्तीं नरेश्वर,नरश्रेष्ठ नरेश्वरर करुण विलाप करती हुई मुझ दीन-दु:ःखिया अबलाको आज अपना दर्शन और कर्तव्यका आदेश दीजिये

darśayasva naravyāghra śādhi mām asukhānvitām | kṛpaṇāṃ cātha karuṇaṃ vilapantīṃ nareśvara ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai harimau di antara manusia, perlihatkanlah dirimu kepadaku dan ajarkan aku akan dharma, kewajipanku. Aku ditimpa dukacita—hina dan tidak berdaya—seraya meratap dengan pilu. Wahai tuan manusia, kurniakanlah kehadiranmu dan perintahkan apa yang harus dilakukan.”
