पृष्ठतो$नुगमिष्यामि समेषु विषमेषु च । त्वामहं नरशार्दूल गच्छन्तमनिवर्तितुम्‌,नरश्रेष्ठ आप जहाँ कभी न लौटनेके लिये गये हैं, वहाँका मार्ग समतल हो या विषम, मैं आपके पीछे-पीछे अवश्य चली चलूँगी

Transliteration

pṛṣṭhato'nugamiṣyāmi sameṣu viṣameṣu ca | tvām ahaṃ naraśārdūla gacchantam anivartitum ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Aku akan mengikut di belakangmu—sama ada jalan itu rata atau sukar. Wahai harimau di antara manusia, ketika engkau melangkah pergi tanpa berpaling kembali, aku juga akan menyusulmu.”
