विष्णुचक्रलाभो नाम (अर्धनारीश्वर-तत्त्वं, सती-पार्वती-सम्भवः, दक्षयज्ञविनाशः)

युष्माभिर् वै कुमाराय तेन व्यासाय धीमते तस्मादहमुपश्रुत्य प्रवदामि सुविस्तरम्

yuṣmābhir vai kumārāya tena vyāsāya dhīmate tasmādahamupaśrutya pravadāmi suvistaram

Sesungguhnya kamu telah mengajarkannya kepada Kumāra, dan melalui beliau ia sampai kepada Vyāsa yang bijaksana. Maka, setelah aku mendengarnya menurut susur galur yang sah itu, kini aku menghuraikannya kepada kamu dengan lengkap dan terperinci.
