Suta Goswami (narrating the teaching to the sages at Naimisharanya)
It presents Shiva-nāma-japa (especially the Sahasranama) as a direct, efficacious limb of Linga-centered devotion, promising the highest spiritual attainment through sustained remembrance of Pati (Shiva).
By stating that the devotee reaches the “paramā gati,” it implies Shiva as the supreme refuge and final goal—Pati who grants release from pāśa and fulfills the soul’s highest destiny.
Nāma-japa of the thousand Names (Sahasranama), a core discipline aligned with Shaiva sādhanā and supportive of Pāśupata-oriented purification and liberation.
