अविमुक्तक्षेत्रमाहात्म्य — काशी-वाराणसी में मोक्ष, लिङ्ग-तीर्थ-मानचित्र, और उपासना-विधि

श्रुतिमद्भिश् च विप्रेन्द्रैः संसिद्धैश् च तपस्विभिः प्रतिमासं तथाष्टम्यां प्रतिमासं चतुर्दशीम्

śrutimadbhiś ca viprendraiḥ saṃsiddhaiś ca tapasvibhiḥ pratimāsaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ pratimāsaṃ caturdaśīm

Dan oleh para brahmin yang mengetahui Veda—yang utama dalam kalangan dwija—serta para pertapa yang telah sempurna, amalan ini dipelihara setiap bulan: pada hari aṣṭamī (hari kelapan) dan juga pada hari caturdaśī (hari keempat belas), sebagai waktu suci untuk memuja Pati (Tuhan Śiva) yang melonggarkan ikatan pāśa atas paśu (jiwa individu).
