Adhyaya 84:
Uma–Maheshvara Vrata, Shula-dana, and Month-wise Ekabhakta Vrata
Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva-puja and installation rites to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It prescribes a Puṣya-month observance where Śiva’s emblem, the Śūla (trident), is ritually installed and offered—completing prior puja-steps—so the worship culminates in Śiva’s pleased bestowal of grace.
Śiva is implied as Pati, the sovereign bestower of anugraha (grace), who rejoices with Bhavānī—signifying that liberation and auspiciousness arise through the inseparable Śiva-Śakti reality acting for the uplift of the paśu bound by pāśa.
A monthly vrata-style puja practice: pratiṣṭhā (installation) and nivedana (offering) of the trident as part of a complete, previously taught Śaiva worship sequence—supporting Pāśupata-oriented discipline through regular, time-marked observance.
