Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It lists specific nakshatras regarded as auspicious for undertaking Shiva-linga worship and related observances, emphasizing that right timing (muhūrta) supports purity of practice and steadiness of devotion toward Pati (Shiva).
While not doctrinally defining Shiva-tattva, it implies Shiva as Pati—the Lord who sanctifies time itself—so that aligning worship with auspicious cosmic rhythms becomes a means for the pashu (bound soul) to loosen pasha (bondage) through disciplined devotion.
Muhūrta-vicāra for Shiva-puja—choosing auspicious nakshatras for abhiṣeka, japa, vrata, and installation-related acts—supporting a Pashupata-style discipline where conduct, time, and worship are integrated.
