Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः
वयं पुराणि त्रीण्येव समास्थाय महीमिमाम् विचरिष्याम लोकेश त्वत्प्रसादाज्जगद्गुरो
vayaṃ purāṇi trīṇyeva samāsthāya mahīmimām vicariṣyāma lokeśa tvatprasādājjagadguro
“Wahai Penguasa segala alam, wahai Guru jagat raya, dengan rahmatmu kami akan berpegang hanya pada tiga Purāṇa ini sebagai sandaran, lalu mengembara di bumi ini.”
