Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

विज्ञानेन निवृत्तास्ते व्यवर्तन्त महौजसः संबुद्धाश्चैव नानात्वे अप्रवृत्ताश् च योगिनः

vijñānena nivṛttāste vyavartanta mahaujasaḥ saṃbuddhāścaiva nānātve apravṛttāś ca yoginaḥ

Dengan vijñāna, yakni pengetahuan pembedaan, para yogin yang berdaya besar itu menarik diri lalu berpaling daripada keterlibatan duniawi. Tersedar akan kebenaran yang melampaui kepelbagaian, mereka tidak memasuki alam pengalaman yang terpisah-pisah, tetapi teguh pada jalan yang menuntun paśu (jiwa terikat) menuju Pati, Tuhan Śiva.
