Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्
कोटिकोटिसहस्राणि अहर्भूतानि यानि वै वाराहकल्प समतीतानि कल्पानां तावच्छेषाः परे तु ये यस्त्वयं वर्तते कल्पो वाराहस्तं निबोधत
koṭikoṭisahasrāṇi aharbhūtāni yāni vai vārāhakalpa samatītāni kalpānāṃ tāvaccheṣāḥ pare tu ye yastvayaṃ vartate kalpo vārāhastaṃ nibodhata
Tidak terbilang—berjuta-juta kali berjuta—ialah kitaran hari yang telah berlalu sebagai Varāha-kalpa; dan daripada kalpa-kalpa itu, sebanyak itu juga masih berbaki di hadapan. Maka ketahuilah: kalpa yang sedang berlangsung kini ialah Varāha-kalpa itu sendiri.
