FAQs

It underscores vairāgya (detachment): when worldly supports (dravya) are exhausted, the wise move onward. Linga worship similarly trains the paśu (soul) to loosen pasha (bondage) and orient life toward Pati (Śiva), beyond mere material dependence.

By highlighting “akliṣṭa-karma” (effortless, untroubled action) as a divine mode, it mirrors Śiva-tattva: the supreme Pati acts without bondage or strain, while embodied beings act under karma until released from pasha.

The takeaway is renunciation through karmic ripening—an inner discipline aligned with Pāśupata orientation: reducing dependence on dravya, cultivating steadiness, and turning the mind toward the Lord through worship and contemplative detachment.
