यदुवंश-प्रवचनम्: हैहय-क्रोष्टु-वंशविस्तारः (कृतवीर्यार्जुनादि, ज्यामघ-विदर्भ-शात्वत-पर्यन्तम्)
तस्य चासीद्दृढरथः शकुनिस्तस्य चात्मजः तस्मात् करम्भः सम्भूतो देवरातो ऽभवत्ततः
tasya cāsīddṛḍharathaḥ śakunistasya cātmajaḥ tasmāt karambhaḥ sambhūto devarāto 'bhavattataḥ
Daripadanya lahirlah Dṛḍharatha; puteranya ialah Śakuni. Daripada Śakuni muncul Karambha, dan sesudah itu lahirlah Devarāta. Demikianlah susur galur raja berterusan di bawah pemerintahan halus Pati (Śiva), sedangkan para paśu (jiwa) bergerak melalui kelahiran berjasad, terikat oleh ikatan karma (pāśa).
