जगत्प्रतापनमृते भास्करं रुद्ररूपिणम् स एष कालश्चाग्निश् च द्वादशात्मा प्रजापतिः
jagatpratāpanamṛte bhāskaraṃ rudrarūpiṇam sa eṣa kālaścāgniś ca dvādaśātmā prajāpatiḥ
Selain Rudra dalam rupa Matahari—yang membakar dan menerangi segala alam—Dia Yang Esa itu juga ialah Kāla dan juga Agni; sebagai Prajāpati, Dia bersemayam dengan sifat dua belas rupa.

It identifies the Linga’s Lord (Pati) as the very cosmic Light behind the Sun, and as the governing principles of Time and Fire—so Linga-puja is worship of the power that sustains yajna, order, and illumination in all worlds.
Shiva is presented as Rudra manifesting as Surya (illumination), Kala (regulation and dissolution), and Agni (transformative power), indicating a single supreme reality expressing multiple cosmic functions while remaining one Pati.
The verse implicitly centers yajna-agni and inner tapas: Agni signifies sacrificial worship, while Kala and Surya point to Pashupata-style discipline—mastery of time-bound impulses (pasha) through Shiva-centered contemplation.
