देवैः पीतं क्षये सोमम् आप्याययति नित्यशः पीतं पञ्चदशाहं तु रश्मिनैकेन भास्करः
devaiḥ pītaṃ kṣaye somam āpyāyayati nityaśaḥ pītaṃ pañcadaśāhaṃ tu raśminaikena bhāskaraḥ
Apabila Soma (Bulan) menyusut—seakan-akan telah “diminum” oleh para Dewa—Bhāskara (Matahari) senantiasa menyuburkannya kembali; selama lima belas hari, Matahari dengan satu sinar sahaja mengisi semula apa yang telah habis diminum.
