सूर्यरथनिर्णयः (चन्द्रस्य पक्षवृद्धिक्षयविधानम्)

क्रमते शुक्लपक्षादौ भास्करात्परमास्थितः आपूर्यते परस्यान्तः सततं दिवसक्रमात्

kramate śuklapakṣādau bhāskarātparamāsthitaḥ āpūryate parasyāntaḥ satataṃ divasakramāt

Pada awal paruh terang (Śukla-pakṣa), ia maju, berada melampaui Surya; dan batas yang lebih jauh (pada cakera bulan) terus-menerus dipenuhi, hari demi hari, menurut tertibnya perjalanan hari.
