प्राणा वै जगतामापो भूतानि भुवनानि च बहुनात्र किमुक्तेन चराचरमिदं जगत्

Transliteration

prāṇā vai jagatāmāpo bhūtāni bhuvanāni ca bahunātra kimuktena carācaramidaṃ jagat

Translation

Sesungguhnya prāṇa (nafas hayat) ialah penopang segala dunia—air, makhluk, dan seluruh alam. Apa lagi yang perlu dikatakan? Seluruh jagat ini, yang bergerak dan yang tidak bergerak, tegak disokong oleh prāṇa itu; dan pada akhirnya bergantung kepada Pati, Tuhan Śiva, penguasa batin bagi kehidupan.
