Adhyaya 23: श्वेत-लोहित-पीत-कृष्ण-विश्व-कल्पेषु रुद्रस्वरूप-गायत्री-तत्त्ववर्णनम्
तस्मिन् विश्वत्वम् आपन्नं ये मां वेत्स्यन्ति भूतले तेषां शिवश् च सौम्यश् च भविष्यामि सदैव हि
tasmin viśvatvam āpannaṃ ye māṃ vetsyanti bhūtale teṣāṃ śivaś ca saumyaś ca bhaviṣyāmi sadaiva hi
Sesiapa di bumi ini yang mengenal Aku sebagai Dia yang telah memasuki kesejagatan (menjadi segala‑galanya), bagi mereka Aku akan sentiasa menjadi Śiva—Yang Maha Mulia, Pati pembebas—dan juga Saumya—Tuhan yang lembut, penganugerahan rahmat.
