Suta Goswami (narrating the episode of Brahmā’s realization)
It grounds Linga-devotion in inner realization: Brahmā recognizes Īśvara through para-dhyāna, implying that external worship of the Linga is fulfilled when it culminates in direct contemplative awareness of Shiva as Pati.
Shiva is presented as Īśvara—the sovereign Pati—who is knowable through supreme meditation and whose will governs even Brahmā, indicating Shiva’s transcendence over the creator-function and His lordship over all powers.
Para-dhyāna (supreme meditation) is highlighted—aligned with Pāśupata-oriented inner discipline—where concentrated contemplation leads to awakening (bubodha) and culminates in praṇāma (humble surrender) to the Lord.
