Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana to the sages; internal narrative describing Devī’s action)
It shows that the power safeguarding dharma operates as Śiva–Śakti unity: devotion to the Liṅga (Pati) is inseparable from honoring Śakti, who executes divine protection and removes obstructing forces.
Though Devī is the direct agent here, the verse implies Shaiva Siddhānta’s principle that Śakti is Pati’s inseparable power—Shiva-tattva acts through Śakti to subdue adharma and restore cosmic balance.
The takeaway aligns with Pāśupata orientation: surrender to Pati through obedience to divine command (ājñā) and invoking Śiva–Śakti for protection—useful as a bhakti-supported discipline rather than a technical āsana/prāṇāyāma instruction.
