सन्निकृष्टमतिक्रम्य श्रोत्रियं यः प्रयच्छति / स तेन कर्मणा पापी दहत्यासप्तमं कुलम्

sannikṛṣṭamatikramya śrotriyaṃ yaḥ prayacchati / sa tena karmaṇā pāpī dahatyāsaptamaṃ kulam

Sesiapa yang, dengan mengabaikan seorang śrotriya—Brahmana yang mengetahui Veda—yang layak dan berada dekat, lalu memberikan derma di tempat lain, maka dengan perbuatan itu dia menjadi berdosa dan membawa kebinasaan kepada keturunannya hingga tujuh generasi.
