अवरश्चेद् वरं वर्णमवरं वा वरो यदि / अशौचे संस्पृशेत् स्नेहात् तदाशौचेन शुध्यति
avaraśced varaṃ varṇamavaraṃ vā varo yadi / aśauce saṃspṛśet snehāt tadāśaucena śudhyati
Jika seseorang daripada varṇa yang lebih rendah, kerana kasih sayang, menyentuh orang varṇa yang lebih tinggi ketika dalam aśauca (ketidak-sucian ritual)—atau orang varṇa yang lebih tinggi menyentuh yang lebih rendah demikian—maka orang yang menyentuh itu disucikan dengan menjalani aśauca tersebut menurut ketetapan.
