Śrāddha-vidhi for Pitṛs: Invitations, Purity, Offerings, and Conduct

प्रास्येदग्नौ तदन्नं तु दद्याद् वा ब्रह्मचारिणे / तस्मादेकमपि श्रेष्ठं विद्वांसं भोजयेद् द्विजम्

prāsyedagnau tadannaṃ tu dadyād vā brahmacāriṇe / tasmādekamapi śreṣṭhaṃ vidvāṃsaṃ bhojayed dvijam

Hendaklah makanan itu dicampakkan ke dalam api suci (Agni), atau diberikan kepada seorang brahmacārin (pelajar Veda). Oleh itu, walaupun hanya seorang yang hendak dijamu, jamulah seorang dvija yang unggul lagi berilmu.
