Śrāddha-vidhi for Pitṛs: Invitations, Purity, Offerings, and Conduct

अकृत्वा मातृयागं तु यः श्राद्धं परिवेषयेत् / तस्य क्रोधसमाविष्टा हिंसामिच्छन्ति मातरः

akṛtvā mātṛyāgaṃ tu yaḥ śrāddhaṃ pariveṣayet / tasya krodhasamāviṣṭā hiṃsāmicchanti mātaraḥ

Sesiapa yang menghidangkan atau menjalankan śrāddha tanpa terlebih dahulu melakukan mātṛyāga, iaitu persembahan kepada Para Ibu, maka Para Ibu yang dikuasai murka akan menghendaki mudarat baginya.
