Snātaka and Gṛhastha-Dharma: Conduct, Marriage Norms, Daily Rites, and Liberating Virtues

उपवीतमलङ्कारं दर्भान् कृष्णाजिनानि च / नापसव्यं परीदध्याद् वासो न विकृतं वसेत्

upavītamalaṅkāraṃ darbhān kṛṣṇājināni ca / nāpasavyaṃ parīdadhyād vāso na vikṛtaṃ vaset

Hendaklah ia memakai upavīta (benang suci) serta kelengkapan ritual yang ditetapkan—rumput darbha dan kulit kijang hitam. Janganlah ia menyarungkan upavīta secara terbalik (tidak auspicious), dan jangan memakai pakaian yang herot, tidak wajar, atau berserabut.
