आचम्य संयतो नित्यमधीयीत उदङ्मुखः / उपसंगृह्य तत्पादौ वीक्षमाणो गुरोर्मुखम् / अधीष्व भो इति ब्रूयाद् विरामो ऽस्त्विति चारमेत्
ācamya saṃyato nityamadhīyīta udaṅmukhaḥ / upasaṃgṛhya tatpādau vīkṣamāṇo gurormukham / adhīṣva bho iti brūyād virāmo 'stviti cāramet
Sesudah berācamanam untuk penyucian dan sentiasa mengawal diri, hendaklah seseorang belajar setiap hari dengan menghadap ke utara. Dengan hormat memegang kaki guru dan memandang wajahnya, hendaklah berkata: “Wahai tuan yang mulia, ajarkanlah aku.” Dan ketika menutup pelajaran, hendaklah beredar sambil berkata: “Biarlah ada jeda (virāma).”
