इति श्रीकूर्मपुराणे षट्साहस्त्र्यां संहितायां पूर्वविभागे पञ्चचत्वारिंशो ऽध्यायः सूत उवाच हेमकूटगिरेः शृङ्गे महाकूटैः सुशोभनम् / स्फाटिकं देवदेवस्य विमानं परमेष्ठिनः

Demikianlah dalam Śrī Kūrma Purāṇa—dalam Saṃhitā enam ribu śloka, bahagian Pūrva-bhāga—(bermula) bab keempat puluh enam. Sūta berkata: Di puncak Gunung Hemakūṭa, yang indah berseri dengan puncak-puncak agung, berdirilah sebuah vimāna daripada kristal (sphāṭika) milik Dewa segala dewa, Tuhan Yang Mahatinggi.
