ततः कदाचिन्महति कालयोगेन दुस्तरा / अनावृष्टिरतीवोग्रा ह्यासीद् भूतविनाशिनी

Kemudian, pada suatu ketika, oleh pertemuan dahsyat Kuasa Waktu (kāla), timbullah kemarau yang amat ganas, sukar diatasi, yang memusnahkan makhluk hidup.
