Devahūti’s Prayers, Kapila’s Departure, and Devahūti’s Liberation
Siddhapada
This verse concludes that the conversation between Lord Kapila and Devahūti is pāvana—purifying—and that Śukadeva has now narrated it in response to the listener’s questions.
He is closing the narration of Kapila’s teachings, assuring Parīkṣit that he has answered the inquiry and highlighting the sanctifying power of hearing this sacred dialogue.
Treat sincere spiritual inquiry and attentive hearing of Bhagavatam teachings as a practical purification method—regular śravaṇa (hearing) refines understanding and strengthens devotion.
