Dakṣa’s Daughters, Cosmic Lineages, and the Population of the Three Worlds
तं वव्रिरे सुरगणा स्वस्रीयं द्विषतामपि । विमतेन परित्यक्ता गुरुणाङ्गिरसेन यत् ॥ ४५ ॥
taṁ vavrire sura-gaṇā svasrīyaṁ dviṣatām api vimatena parityaktā guruṇāṅgirasena yat
Walaupun Viśvarūpa ialah anak kepada puteri kaum Daitya, musuh abadi para dewa, namun ketika para dewa ditinggalkan oleh guru rohani mereka, Bṛhaspati, kerana mereka telah tidak menghormatinya, menurut perintah Brahmā mereka menerima Viśvarūpa sebagai pendeta.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports to the Sixth Canto, Sixth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “The Progeny of the Daughters of Dakṣa.”
This verse shows that worthiness can be recognized beyond lineage: the demigods accepted him even though he was connected to their enemies, indicating that qualification and circumstance can outweigh mere birth-relations.
He was abandoned due to a vimateṇa— a disagreement or difference of opinion—highlighting that conflict with one’s spiritual authority can lead to separation and major life consequences.
Do not rely only on identity or group labels; cultivate genuine qualification and integrity—while also handling disagreements with teachers/mentors carefully, since ruptures in guidance can change one’s path dramatically.
