Indra’s Brahma-hatyā, Flight from Sin, and Purification by Aśvamedha
It is said in the Bṛhad-viṣṇu Purāṇa:
This verse declares that even the gravest sinners can be purified by kīrtana—chanting and glorifying the Lord—showing bhakti as the most potent purifier.
Facing the consequences of grave offenses and conflict, the devas appeal to Lord Viṣṇu’s mercy, emphasizing that His glorification can cleanse even severe wrongdoing.
Make daily chanting and hearing of the Lord’s names a steady practice, using sincere devotion and humility as the foundation for inner reform.
