Dadhīci’s Supreme Charity and the Opening of Indra’s War with Vṛtrāsura
न तेऽदृश्यन्त सञ्छन्ना: शरजालै: समन्तत: । पुङ्खानुपुङ्खपतितैर्ज्योतींषीव नभोघनै: ॥ २४ ॥
na te ’dṛśyanta sañchannāḥ śara-jālaiḥ samantataḥ puṅkhānupuṅkha-patitair jyotīṁṣīva nabho-ghanaiḥ
Apabila diselubungi jaring anak panah dari segenap arah, para dewa tidak kelihatan; bagaikan bintang di langit yang tertutup awan tebal.
It describes how the fighters became invisible because they were completely covered by a dense shower and net of arrows, like celestial lights hidden by thick clouds.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī speaks this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit while narrating the battle between the demigods and Vṛtrāsura.
When challenges ‘cover’ one’s clarity like clouds, steadiness and faith are needed—visibility returns when one remains aligned with dharma and devotion despite overwhelming circumstances.
