In Bhagavad-gītā (9.29) the Lord says:
This verse states that the Lord protected Prahlāda’s life and even killed Hiraṇyakaśipu to establish the truth of His devotee’s words—showing that Bhagavān personally safeguards surrendered devotees.
Prahlāda explains that the Lord’s act was not personal hatred but a divine purpose: to fulfill the truthful declaration connected to His devotee and to end the violent, irreligious threat posed by Hiraṇyakaśipu.
Hold firmly to truth and devotion even under pressure; this verse encourages faith that sincere bhakti is protected by the Lord, while arrogance and harm to others ultimately destroy themselves.
