Brahmā’s Boons, Hiraṇyakaśipu’s Cosmic Tyranny, and Prahlāda’s Transcendental Qualities
This verse states that harboring hatred toward the demigods, Vedas, cows, brāhmaṇas, saintly devotees, dharma, and the Lord leads a person to swift destruction.
After protecting Prahlāda and destroying Hiraṇyakaśipu, the Lord instructs Prahlāda about the grave consequences of hostility toward sacred pillars of dharma—especially devotees and the Lord Himself.
Cultivate respect for scripture, dharmic values, and saintly people; avoid slander and contempt—especially toward sincere devotees and spiritual traditions—because such negativity quickly ruins one’s character and spiritual progress.
