Prabhāsa Departure Set-Up
पर्युष्टया तव विभो वनमालयेयं संस्पार्धिनी भगवती प्रतिपत्नीवच्छ्री: । य: सुप्रणीतममुयार्हणमाददन्नो भूयात् सदाङ्घ्रिरशुभाशयधूमकेतु: ॥ १२ ॥
paryuṣṭayā tava vibho vana-mālayeyaṁ saṁspārdhinī bhagavatī pratipatnī-vac chrīḥ yaḥ su-praṇītam amuyārhaṇam ādadan no bhūyāt sadāṅghrir aśubhāśaya-dhūmaketuḥ
Wahai Tuhan Yang Maha Perkasa, Engkau bahkan menerima kalungan bunga hutan kami yang telah layu di dada-Mu—demikian besar belas kasih-Mu. Pada dada transendental-Mu bersemayam Śrī Lakṣmī; melihat persembahan kami turut tinggal di sana, ia boleh gelisah seperti isteri-sekutu yang cemburu. Namun Engkau, penuh rahmat, seakan mengabaikan permaisuri abadi-Mu dan menerima persembahan kami sebagai pemujaan yang paling mulia. Wahai Yang Maha Pengasih, semoga kaki teratai-Mu sentiasa menjadi api yang membakar habis keinginan tidak suci dalam hati kami.
In Bhagavad-gītā (9.26) it is stated:
This verse teaches that accepting what has been offered to and touched by Krishna—here, His forest garland—awakens steady devotion to His lotus feet and helps burn up impure desires in the heart.
Uddhava poetically says the garland becomes so blessed and radiant by resting on Krishna that it seems to rival even Śrī (Lakṣmī) in fortune—expressing the incomparable glory of anything connected to the Lord.
Honor and receive Krishna-prasada and anything offered in devotion with reverence; this practice steadily redirects the mind toward Krishna and weakens unhealthy cravings and negative intentions.
