Parīkṣit’s Final Absorption, Takṣaka’s Bite, Janamejaya’s Snake Sacrifice, and the Vedic Sound-Lineage
Although lamenting at first, all learned persons, including the demigods, soon realized that a great soul had gone back home, back to Godhead. This was certainly a cause for celebration.
This verse shows that even the demigods publicly glorify the sādhus—through music, praise, and showers of flowers—indicating divine approval of devotion and saintliness.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating these events to King Parīkṣit as part of the Canto 12 account.
Cultivate the habit of sincerely appreciating and supporting saintly, devotional qualities in others—offer praise, respect, and encouragement instead of envy or criticism.
