Bhāgavata-Māhātmya and the Complete Summary of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam
मथुरायां निवसता यदुचक्रस्य यत्प्रियम् । कृतमुद्धवरामाभ्यां युतेन हरिणा द्विजा: ॥ ३६ ॥
mathurāyāṁ nivasatā yadu-cakrasya yat priyam kṛtam uddhava-rāmābhyāṁ yutena hariṇā dvijāḥ
Wahai para brāhmaṇa, kitab ini menceritakan bagaimana Bhagavān Hari, ketika tinggal di Mathurā bersama Uddhava dan Balarāma, melaksanakan līlā demi menyenangkan wangsa Yadu.
This verse recalls that while Krishna resided in Mathura, He carried out a deed especially pleasing to the Yadu dynasty, accompanied by Uddhava and Balarama.
The verse highlights that Krishna’s activities in Mathura were performed in the company of His close associates—Uddhava (His trusted devotee and counselor) and Balarama (His elder brother)—showing the communal, devotee-centered nature of His līlā.
Regularly hearing and recounting Krishna-kathā—especially with attention to His devotees and associates—nourishes bhakti, steadies the mind, and keeps one spiritually focused amid Kali-yuga distractions.
