Hari’s Special Mercy, Śiva’s Quick Boons, and the Deliverance from Vṛkāsura
देवं स वव्रे पापीयान् वरं भूतभयावहम् । यस्य यस्य करं शीर्ष्णि धास्ये स म्रियतामिति ॥ २१ ॥
devaṁ sa vavre pāpīyān varaṁ bhūta-bhayāvaham yasya yasya karaṁ śīrṣṇi dhāsye sa mriyatām iti
Vrika yang berdosa itu memilih anugerah yang akan menakutkan semua makhluk hidup. Vrika berkata, 'Semoga kematian menimpa sesiapa sahaja yang aku sentuh kepalanya dengan tanganku.'
