Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya Resolve and the Slaying of Jarāsandha
Jarāsandha and Bhīma here demonstrate their expertise in the use of clubs. Thus it can be understood that both fighters were fearless and steady even in the rage of battle.
This verse describes the combat as beautifully patterned—moving in circles to the left and right—so graceful it resembled a staged dance, highlighting the divine artistry within Krishna’s līlā.
Śukadeva compares it to stage-performers to show that, though it is a real battle, its movements are controlled, skillful, and aesthetically captivating—revealing the extraordinary prowess present in the Lord’s pastime.
Even in conflict or challenge, cultivate steadiness, skill, and self-control; the verse points to disciplined movement and mastery rather than chaos—an attitude devotees can apply while remembering Krishna in all situations.
