Kṛṣṇa Leads Kālayavana to Mucukunda; The Yavana Is Burned; Mucukunda’s Prayers and Boon of Bhakti

युञ्जानानामभक्तानां प्राणायामादिभिर्मन: । अक्षीणवासनं राजन् द‍ृश्यते पुनरुत्थितम् ॥ ६० ॥

yuñjānānām abhaktānāṁ prāṇāyāmādibhir manaḥ akṣīṇa-vāsanaṁ rājan dṛśyate punar utthitam

Wahai Raja, fikiran orang yang tidak berbhakti walaupun mengamalkan prāṇāyāma dan latihan seumpamanya tidak sepenuhnya bersih daripada kesan nafsu. Maka keinginan material terlihat bangkit semula dalam hati mereka.

Śukadeva instructs Parīkṣit that mere mechanical yogic control is incomplete without devotion; without bhakti, deep impressions of desire persist and the mind can rebound.

Use techniques like breathwork as support, but pair them with devotional focus—hearing, chanting, and remembering the Lord—so the root cravings are purified rather than only suppressed.
