Kṛṣṇa Swallows the Forest Fire (Dāvāgni-līlā) and Restores the Herd
This verse states that the Vrajavāsīs accept Kṛṣṇa as their sole shelter (tvannāthāḥ) and are fully devoted to Him (tvat-parāyaṇāḥ), expressing the core mood of śaraṇāgati—dependence on the Lord’s protection.
In the Govardhana-līlā context, the residents of Vraja appeal to Kṛṣṇa not to let His own people suffer, affirming their complete reliance on Him amid danger and distress.
Cultivate steady devotion and responsible dharma while inwardly relying on Kṛṣṇa as the ultimate protector—turning anxiety into prayerful trust and aligning choices with spiritual duty.
