Transliteration

ugrasena-sutaḥ kaṁsaḥ svasuḥ priya-cikīrṣayā raśmīn hayānāṁ jagrāha raukmai ratha-śatair vṛtaḥ

Translation

Kaṁsa, putera Raja Ugrasena, demi menyenangkan saudari perempuannya Devakī, memegang sendiri tali kekang kuda lalu menjadi kusir. Dia dikelilingi ratusan kereta emas.
