Pṛthu Pursues the Earth and the Earth Takes the Form of a Cow

य एतदादावसृजच्चराचरं स्वमाययात्माश्रययावितर्क्यया । तयैव सोऽयं किल गोप्तुमुद्यत: कथं नु मां धर्मपरो जिघांसति ॥ ३१ ॥
ya etad ādāv asṛjac carācaraṁ sva-māyayātmāśrayayāvitarkyayā tayaiva so ’yaṁ kila goptum udyataḥ kathaṁ nu māṁ dharma-paro jighāṁsati
Wahai Tuhan, pada awal penciptaan Engkau mencipta semua makhluk bergerak dan tidak bergerak dengan tenaga-Mu yang tidak terjangkau, bersandar pada diri-Mu sendiri. Dengan tenaga yang sama Engkau kini bersedia melindungi makhluk; Engkau pelindung dharma yang tertinggi. Mengapa pula Engkau ingin membunuhku sedangkan aku dalam rupa lembu?
