Deva–Asura Battle after the Nectar; Bali’s Illusions and Hari’s Intervention
This verse depicts the Devas and Asuras fighting in paired duels, closing in face to face and attacking with full strength using weapons like arrows, swords, and lances.
Śukadeva describes the war as organized combat—opponents meeting directly in duels—highlighting the intensity of the conflict and each side’s determination to conquer.
Ambition for victory can drive intense conflict; the Bhagavatam encourages seeing struggle within a larger divine order and choosing dharmic conduct rather than being consumed by hostility.
