तयोरलब्धलाभापगमने यस्यामित्रो महतो लाभाद्वियुक्तः क्षयव्ययाधिको वा स पार्ष्णिग्राहोऽतिसंधत्ते ॥ कZ_०७.१३.२० ॥

Transliteration

tayor alabdhalābhāpagamane yasyāmitro mahato lābhād viyuktaḥ kṣayavyayādhiko vā sa pārṣṇigrāho ’tisaṃdhatte

Translation

Between the two, when expected gains are not obtained or gains slip away, that rear-enemy overreaches whose enemy has been deprived of great profit, or whose losses/expenditures exceed (his gains).
