Raṇadīkṣā (War-Consecration) — Agni Purāṇa Adhyāya 235

इत्य् आग्नेये महापुराणे आजस्रिकं नाम चतुस्त्रिंशदधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः अथ पञ्चत्रिंशदधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः रणदीक्षा पुष्कर उवाच यात्राविधानपूर्वन्तु वक्ष्ये साङ्ग्रामिकं विधिं सप्ताहेन यदा यात्रा भविष्यति महीपतेः

ity āgneye mahāpurāṇe ājasrikaṃ nāma catustriṃśadadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha pañcatriṃśadadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ raṇadīkṣā puṣkara uvāca yātrāvidhānapūrvantu vakṣye sāṅgrāmikaṃ vidhiṃ saptāhena yadā yātrā bhaviṣyati mahīpateḥ

Demikianlah, dalam Agni Mahāpurāṇa berakhirlah bab ke-234 yang bernama “Ājasrika”. Kini bermulalah bab ke-235: “Raṇadīkṣā” (penyucian/penahbisan sebelum perang). Puṣkara berkata: “Aku akan menerangkan tata cara peperangan, didahului peraturan bagi ekspedisi diraja, apabila perarakan raja akan berlangsung dalam tempoh tujuh hari.”
