FAQs

The verse emphasizes an ordered cosmos governed by pramāṇa (measure/standard), suggesting that creation is intelligible and structured rather than random—inviting reverence for cosmic order (ṛta/dharma) reflected in traditional cosmography.

Primarily aligns with Sarga (creation/cosmic arrangement) and supports the Purāṇic function of describing the world-system (bhūvanakośa/cosmography), often treated as part of sarga-style material.

Jambūdvīpa as the ‘central’ continent symbolizes a centered sacred order—often read as the locus where dharma and human action unfold, framed within larger concentric realms.
