तिलोदकीति विख्याता पुण्यतोया सदा नदी । संगमादन्यतो यस्यां तिलोदक्यां शुचिव्रतः । स्नातो विमुच्यते पापैः सप्तजन्मार्जितैरपि

तिलोदकी म्हणून प्रसिद्ध ही नदी सदैव पुण्यजलयुक्त आहे. त्या तिलोदकीत—संगमस्थानाव्यतिरिक्त—शुचिव्रती मनुष्य स्नान केल्यास सात जन्मांचे साचलेले पापही नष्ट होऊन मुक्त होतो.
