तं प्रणम्य प्रवक्ष्यामि माहात्म्यं भवदग्रतः । अयोध्याया महापुर्या यथावत्सरहस्यकम्
taṃ praṇamya pravakṣyāmi māhātmyaṃ bhavadagrataḥ | ayodhyāyā mahāpuryā yathāvatsarahasyakam
त्या (व्यासांना) प्रणाम करून मी तुमच्या समोर अयोध्या महापुरीचे माहात्म्य यथावत्, रहस्यासहित सांगीन.
