श्यामलोवाच । किं तस्य मन्दभाग्यस्य अल्पपुण्यस्य दुर्मतेः । मा कुरुध्वं कथाः साध्व्यः कथां कथयताऽपराम्
śyāmalovāca | kiṃ tasya mandabhāgyasya alpapuṇyasya durmateḥ | mā kurudhvaṃ kathāḥ sādhvyaḥ kathāṃ kathayatā'parām
श्यामला म्हणाली—त्या मंदभाग्य, अल्पपुण्य, दुर्मतीची कथा करून काय उपयोग? हे साध्वी स्त्रियांनो, त्याची कथा करू नका; दुसरा विषय सांगा।
