क्षीराब्धेर्मथ्यमानस्य पर्वतो हि रसातलम् । गतः स तत्क्षणादेव कूर्मो भूत्वा रमापतिः । उद्धृतस्तत्क्षणादेव तदद्भुतमिवाभवत्
kṣīrābdhermathyamānasya parvato hi rasātalam | gataḥ sa tatkṣaṇādeva kūrmo bhūtvā ramāpatiḥ | uddhṛtastatkṣaṇādeva tadadbhutamivābhavat
क्षीरसागर मंथन होताच पर्वत क्षणार्धात रसातळात बुडाला. त्याच क्षणी रमापती भगवान कूर्मरूप धारण करून त्याला तत्काळ वर उचलून धरले; ते दृश्य अद्भुत वाटले।
